The Bheemana Kindi trek is one of the lesser-known treks in Bangalore, often overshadowed by the renowned Kabbala Durga. Located near Kabbala village, the trek commences from the village of Kanchana Halli, situated within the Kabbala state forest.
The area is steeped in captivating historical anecdotes, with a legend narrating that Kunti, while searching for Bheema, created an entrance through the arch formed by the topmost mountain, a result of Bheema's powerful strike during his rescue mission. Geologists attribute the arch's formation to erosion and weathering.
At the summit of the hill, you'll find the Bheemana Kindi Basaveshwara Temple, where villagers offer prayers on Fridays and Mondays. The trail is well-defined and suitable for novice hikers, traversing through grassland and forests. Weekends provide an opportunity for quality time with family or friends at the hill's summit. For the adventurous, exploring the left side of the rock arch can lead to further heights atop the hill.
